Criptografia com curvas elípticas – uma pequena introdução

Abstract

In the digital age, cryptography plays an increasingly important role, both in the social and economical organization of society and in our everyday life. At the same time, it is a subject of big mathematical interest that connects various scientific areas. We give a small introduction to one of the most important techniques in the field – Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC). The article is written in a way that does not require prior knowledge neither of the theory of elliptic curves nor of cryptography.
