Geometric representation theory and p-adic geometry

Abstract

We discuss the number theoretic origins of the Langlands program, its geometrization and categorification over function fields, and more recently over p-adic fields by Fargues–Scholze. We conclude by describing some of our own contributions to the emerging field and possible future directions.
