Abstract

This paper has the purpose of discussing some of the main aspects concerning gold-plating, focusing on concepts, cases and possible solutions. The investigation aims to analyse some theoretical elements regarding the main concept of gold-plating, including the historical view and case studies, and also discussing measures adopted by Member-States to deal with the matter, namely transparency procedure and repeal of over transposition, as well as best practices to help minimizing the negative aspects of gold plating’s practices.
