Abstract

Aims: To report a case of uncharacteristic presentation of Parvovirus B19. This virus causes some atypical cutaneous rash such as papular-purpuric “gloves and socks” syndrome which is a rare entity, self-limited and resolves spontaneously to cure.

Case Report: Authors describe a case of a six-year-old boy who went to the Emergency Department with a cutaneous rash initially on a finger and then mouth, hands and feet followed by fever. He fully recovered without sequelae. Conclusions: It is important to consider this agent as a possible responsible for atypical purpuric rash.
