An essay in which individual considerations are made about the characteristics that a course aiming at preparing people to work in museums should have, namely taking into account tourism, that is, both foreign and national visitors. Emphasis is placed on the practical aspect that such courses must have, not only in specific technical aspects but also in communication. It is recommended that museological training should be of a 2nd cycle rather than a degree, this level being reserved for the fundamental acquisition of general culture. Reflection according to precise objectives and enthusiastic and dynamic motivation are essential aspects of efficient and effective training in day-to-day practice.
