Associative management and organizational sustainability: the case of the wastepickers´ cooperatives of Buenos Aires city

Este artículo analiza la problemática de la sustentabilidad organizacional en experiencias de trabajo asociado, a partir de un estudio de caso realizado en cooperativas de cartoneros que operan en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, en el período 2007-2012. Se propone la noción de “doble sustentabilidad” como herramienta conceptual que permite abordar la tensión permanente en la que se encuentra la reproducción ampliada de estas experiencias. Para ello se abordan las regulaciones estatales y de mercado que pesan sobre la actividad del reciclaje y las organizaciones cartoneras; así como las prácticas, vínculos y recursos movilizados que, en la construcción cotidiana de la asociatividad, habilitan y limitan el sostenimiento de estas cooperativas.
