The authors’ objective in this article is to reflect on a set of deontological and theoretical/methodological questions that face sociologists in the particular case of their research on professionals and professional associations. The starting point for this reflection was a 2008 study on the healthcare professions field, which is considered within the overall framework of some broader thoughts on the way in which sociologists work.Downloads
