Nomadismo, corporalidade e transgressão. Uma aproximação à arte de Franz West
Abstract
The actual contemporary art spectrum shows Franz West as an artist, who engages with the critical analysis of the languages, as well as with the aesthetic rethinking of the relationship between the “spectator” and the “piece of art”. His production chooses the human body and the inhabitable space as its major motives. Through this approach, the artist achieves an exclusive interaction between the social relations of the subjects, which are seen as the main subject matters of his artistic discourse. Franz West (Vienna, 1947) already had an anthological exhibition in Portugal (1997/1998) and is seen as an artist of extreme singularity in the current contemporary art scene. He exhibits since the middle of the 1970s.Downloads
