Abstract
This work deals with the collective symbolization of death, which is at present subject to a process of change. It isevolving from a traditional way of conceiving death to a global conception, which is present in the mass media and in
today’s advanced medical technology. This study deals with the traditional symbolism and places us between it and thenew emerging collective dialogue.
