Uma análise sócio-semiótica do Via Catarina
Abstract
The mall’s genesis is based on a chain of changes, which took place on the length of time that came after the Industrial Revolution. For their importance, the individual’s assertment; the large increase of the production and, finally, the constant branching of the urbane space, are pointed out. We live in a society of codes and themes, which despite being unwritten, are previously understood as producers of meaning. Therefore, the mall, before being a concrete fact, has already been expressed. Hereby, the cogitation we made around Via Catarina assumed beforehand that this one could be studied as a significant which produces several significances that surmise certain connotations. So, the mall has been analysed as a sign possessing various functions, from which different codes come into view.Downloads
