A presença tunisina em Portugal
Abstract
One of the aims of this article is to present the results of a study in progress. It describes the Tunisian community in Portugal and the female population in particular. One of the concerns of this study is to analyse the processes and strategies of the acculturation of Arabo-Muslim citizens transplanted into a European catholic society. In order to perceive its ways and manners, the study goes back to its origins of this community. Thus it offers a brief historical and political account from the time of the country’s independence to the present, focusing particularly on the emancipation of women.Downloads
