Adaptacións ou cambios. A Sala do Mar do Museo do Pobo Galego
Abstract
The Museo do Pobo Galego (Galician People Museum) opened in 1977. Since then it has been shapening rooms with different themes, but always within its objectives: to show the several faces of the Galician culture. Due to its extension and importance within the museum, we should point out the ‘Sala del Mar’ (The Sea Room). This article is an attempt to describe how the contents of this room have been organized and which variables were at play in this process. Our analysis starts with the changes that the room has undergone relating them with the evolution of the concept of museum as a whole.Downloads
