Abstract

n spite of certain monstrosities, the renovation of architecture in France in terms of housing was more intense in the 70s and 80s of the twentieth century, which gave rise to brilliant achievements and enabled the approach of architects and sociologists in the fields of design, innovation and use. The evolution of the ways of living is subject of constant debate: demographic and societal transformations have implications for the structure and mobility of the housing stock. Consumption patterns and cultural tastes intersect with the household composition variables to bring about a demand for architectural diversity, including in the housing sector.
