Abstract

This article is the result of a survey carried out within the framework of the Housing Observatory (6th phase), commissioned by the Lisbon City Council to CET, since 1992 and developed in a phased way in time. This phase was carried out between October 1998 and January 2001 and had as general objective to deepen the understanding of the processes of structuring negative identities and public images in social neighbourhoods, already studied by the Observatory in previous phases.
