Comparative and Applied Sociological Theories: Bourdieu, Foucault, Habermas and Luhmann in the face of Law

This text consists of an essay of comparative and applied sociological theories, focusing mainly on four authors: Pierre Bourdieu, Michel Foucault, Jürgen Habermas and Niklas Luhmann. It is composed of three parts: some brief reflections on what is at work on comparative and applied sociological theories; a proposal of two modalities of comparison between the chosen authors; and the formulation of some guidelines, derived from the comparison made, for the work of empirical observation.
