Abstract

In this work, the influence of different population densities, from single todouble row, in the sunflower biomass, Caburé - 15 variety, was evaluated in a Ferralitic Yellowish Leached Soil. A completely randomized block experimental design and an absolute control, with three density treatments and three replicates, were used in a plot plantation. Bottom fertilization was applied with solid and decomposed bovine manure and NPK Complete Fertilizer before sowing to the entire experimental area. We evaluated indicators that characterize the biomass of the crop, resulting in a higher crop index (p < 0.01) at a plant density of 20 plants/m2, with a yield of 8 plants/m2and 5.6 plants/m2, planted in a row simple.
