Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the radial profile and the uniformity of water distribution of micro sprinkler manufactured by the company Agropolo, model MC-20, operating at pressures of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 m c.a., and through a computer application, to predict uniformity in water application, aiming to provide recommendations for appropriate adjustment, for the design of systems and management of irrigated areas using the micro sprinkler quoted. For the determination of the parameters rated, was used the radial method, described by ABNT (1999) and with the aid of computer application CATCH 3D, version 4.45 (Allen, 1992) a simulation was done and overlapping layers of water with different spacing. The results show that the micro sprinkler had low CVF, ranging between 1.62 and 2.12% and high uniformity of water distribution in all studied pressures. About 57.5% of the evaluated spacings showed maximum grade rating of UC and UD. It was observed for all studied pressures wide range of precipitation between the base and the collector of the sprinkler, placed 0.5 m from the base.
