Diamond Open Access Model (Diamond OA)

The journal Sociologia, Problemas e Práticas is guided by the concept of science as a public good and adheres to the principles of open science.

It adopts the diamond open access publishing model (Diamond OA), charging no fees to readers or authors.

Like other diamond model journals, Sociologia, Problemas and Práticas is an initiative of a well-established academic community and is governed by it. The journal is guided by editorial standards of high scientific quality, social relevance, interdisciplinary openness, intellectual pluralism, international horizon, and multilingual dissemination.

As an editorial support for the public availability of research results, in open access, it has a specific place in the field of scholarly publishing and contributes to bibliographic diversity in the social sciences.

Creative Commons License

Articles published in the journal are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 Internacional (CC BY 4.0). This license allows sharing, copying, redistributing, and adapting the content, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original publication.

Preprints

Original scientific texts previously deposited in institutional repositories and not yet published in other scientific journals may be submitted to the journal.

Once submitted, these texts will go through the peer review process followed by Sociologia, Problemas e Práticas.

Open data

Authors are encouraged to share and make accessible research data and other materials supporting their articles, in accordance with the FAIR principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, Reuse).
