Language and hegemony in the social sciences

This short essay discusses the relation between scientific language and global hegemony in relation to the social sciences. The text draws out a number of strategic proposals geared towards a better negotiation of the global position of scientific communities that express themselves in other languages beside English - such as that of Portuguese speakers.
