Abstract

The general problematics of mediatization is complex and multiform. Significant parameters for experts are the extent and degree of homogeneity of those to which the message is addressed, as well as their familiarity with the subject dealt with; the nature of the message, in terms of either its predominance or the presence of numerical, iconological, sonorous, weritten elements; its explanatory or argumentative character; its factual, opinionative, emotional context; its duration, from telegraphical messages to the document of authentic reproduction in real time. This study considers two extreme situations of mediatization within a scientific context: both the collection of authentic documents as a means of perpetuating reality, and the widespreading diffusion of elaborative, final results of a research work. Abbreviatedly, the former will be named gross collection of data, and the latter widespreading diffusion of results.
