Abstract

The obstruction of the endotracheal tube is a complication that can occur at any time during a general anesthesia and requires prompt recognition. We report a case of partial obstruction of the endotracheal tube in a 55 years old patient who underwent mamma tumorectomy plus sentinel node biopsy. The procedure was performed under general anaesthesia and during the surgery an increase in airway pressure was detected due to a kinking of the endotracheal tube at the oral cavity.
