Abstract
An analysis of anthropology's place in the Portuguese educational system by questioning the role that anthropology and anthropologists have and could have at both the middle and secondary education levels since the last reform of the educational system. The existence in this reform of a parodox is stated through the identification of an anthropological ideology that excludes anthropologists The role of the teacher with a degree in anthropology, and that of the school anthropologist are both analysed and presented as possible uses of anthropology and anthropologists in the school system.Downloads
