A Antropologia e o discurso político. O antropólogo e a sua intervenção na sociedade
Abstract
The main purpose of this discussion is to place both Anthropology, as a social science, and the anthropologists associal scientists, before the political issues of contemporary society. From its very early stages, Anthropology has been aware of the importante of the powers and of the state for the building up of social and cultural life, although not much attention has been paid to the related theory. Nowadays, Anthropology has been facing the consequences of the political and the epistemological thought, taking advantage to self-renewal in the methods and themes, such as feminism, post-colonialism or ethnic identity. This forum also intends to promote discussion over the roles of Anthropology and the anthropologists in contemporary society.
