Résumé

In the ethnographic fieldwork that I developed between 2015 and 2019 with middle-class families in the Haedo area (Argentina), I noticed that the "own house" was no longer considered the privileged moral materiality of this social group. This is significant if we consider that historically in Argentina, at least during the first half of the 20th century, the "own house" occupied a meaningful place for middle classes. In this article I ask myself about what happens nowadays with the house and what other materialities emerge as cleavages to be considered in this sector.
