Abstract

This reflection questions interventions in the fight against poverty, questioning their results and calling for deepening both the knowledge of the problems and the courage of political decisions. Starting from the experiences considered innovative in the fight against poverty in the context of the Council of Europe, the author summarizes the dimensions that the international projects already have as acquired and proposes, for the Portuguese case new challenges such as greater participation in the city level, of public administration in order to bring it closer to the citizens, to avoid a stigmatizing intervention on spaces already penalized and to deepen new methodologies of action.
