Abstract

The right of women to be present in masculinised social and professional contexts remains an essential part of the fight for equality between women and men. The project Mulheres em Connstrução (MemC, Women in Construction), of the Portuguese association Mulheres na Arquitectura (Women in Architecture), emerged in 2021 in the Bairros Saudáveis (Healthy Neighbourhoods) programme. MemC promotes the training of women, from Barro de Santiago (Aveiro, Portugal), in conditions of socio-labour vulnerability and seeks to give them skills in the construction field, never forgetting their feminist dimension in the organisation and implementation of the work. This interview with the MemC team seeks to make the project's development and achievements known.
