Abstract

This special issue looks at different aspects of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in West Africa. The research presented here was partly carried out as part of a project of the same name funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (Sexual and reproductive rights and cultural resistances based on gender in Western Africa: Inequality, violence and illegitimacy. PTDC/SOCANT/31675/2017 (2018-2021). This initial research was joined by others, which helped to complete the perspective presented and even introduce a look at the situation of SRHR in Cape Verde, in addition to Guinea-Bissau and Senegal, the countries focused on in the project [...]
