Resumo

O assunto tratado neste artigo, as relações tecidas na actualidade entre o Estado e os dignitários políticos-religiosos muçulmanos na Senegâmbia, insere-se na problemática mais vasta das relações entre o Estado pós-colonial e as estruturas políticas ditas tradicionais. Sobre esta problemática – uma problemática clássica em contextos africanos – existe uma ampla e diversificada bibliografia.
