Security and Peace Studies
Abstract
The author writes about the main theories of war origin: theolelogic, bio-sociologic and evolutionist, outlining three possible models of relationship between security and peace: strategic balance, collective security and global governance. Until the end of Cold War, globalization the international system was, essentially, a State’s system where security problems were referred to the level of security between them. The author characterizes the current system as a system with multiple power centres, with a high level of complexity, heterogeneous and with a wide diversity of features, pointed as “Post-International” by some scholars.
