Agitation, Aggression and Violence in the Psychiatric Emergency of Hospital Curry Cabral. Some Thoughts.

This is an article that compiles the oral communication presented at the Symposium of the Department of Psychiatry of Hospital Fernando Fonseca focused on “Emergency Psychiatry”. From the author’s experience as a psychiatrist at Centro Hospitalar Psiquiátrico de Lisboa (CHPL) in the Curry Cabral Hospital psychiatric emergency room, this text describes the praxis and its context, presents conceptualizations about the subject, accompanied by a fitting theoretical model, as well as personal critical reflections.Downloads
