Hospitais Magnet e as Implicações na Satisfação Profissional dos Enfermeiros

Enquadramento: Não existe em Portugal uma avaliação extensa da perceção dos enfermeiros sobre os ambientes de trabalho, nem a sua caracterização como Magnet favoráveis e não Magnet desfavoráveis.
Objetivo: Analisar a relação entre os ambientes de trabalho, a satisfação profissional dos enfermeiros, para além de introduzir o conceito Magnet.
Metodologia: Utilizando um estudo descritivo correlacional, obtivemos 1015 respostas aos questionários. Utilizamos o Practice Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index (PES-NWI) e a Escala de Satisfação dos Enfermeiros no Trabalho (ESET).
Resultados: Verifica-se que 40,0% dos hospitais foram classificados com um ambiente de trabalho mixed, 39,5% com um ambiente de trabalho desfavorável (Não Magnet) e o restante 16,5% como tendo ambiente de trabalho favorável (Magnet). Verifica-se que a maioria dos profissionais manifestou moderada satisfação (83,5%). Verifica-se também que existe correlação entre o ambiente de trabalho e a satisfação
Conclusão: Persiste a necessidade de intervenções por parte da gestão hospitalar no sentido de otimizar os ambientes laborais, de modo a promover melhores condições organizacionais e, consequentemente, elevar os níveis de satisfação profissional dos enfermeiros.
