De l’émigration au retour: le cas des jeunes adultes portugais

L’objectif de cet article est d’identifier les facteurs qui expliquent le retour de tant d’émigrants portugais âgés de 20 à 34 ans, en analysant les relations entre émigration et retour, intégration et retour, et achèvement du retour, en étudiant l’ensemble du parcours migratoire. L’analyse empirique présentée dans cet article est basée sur des données collectées grâce à une enquête online auprès des émigrés portugais de la tranche d’âge étudiée. Comme conclusion plus importante, on a constaté que l’émigration des jeunes adultes portugais s’explique par des raisons professionnelles, tandis que le retour est justifié par des raisons familiales.
