Abstract

The current world context has shown that both synergies and partnerships are necessary to leverage the development of projects, businesses and territories. Through the organisation of events, it is possible to enhance the capacity and potential of women. By empowering Women we will contribute to reduce the gender asymmetries existing in the world.

To mark World Tourism Day, Global Women in Tourism, in partnership with the Instituto Superior de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo, held a webinar on "Women and Tourism, my Voice!" on 24 September, with 12 speakers of different nationalities - Cape Verdean, Portuguese, Brazilian, Chilean and Dutch - and from different areas of the tourism value chain.
