A APLICAÇÃO DE ACUPUNTURA DURANTE A GRAVIDEZ: PONTOS CONTRA-INDICADOS E PONTOS INDICADOS NO TRATAMENTO DA NÁUSEA GESTACIONAL

Resumo
Este estudo de revisão tem como âmbito protocolos de acupunctura de prática segura durante a gravidez, tendo por objetivo fazer o levantamento de pontos contraindicados e protocolos de acupuntura no tratamento das náuseas. Foi feita a revisão de vários artigos e estudos do Journal Of Chinese Medicine.
Através desta revisão de literatura pode observar-se que existem inúmeros estudos acerca da acupuntura durante a gravidez (independentemente do mês) que indicam que esta pode ser benéfica, nomeadamente no tratamento das náuseas. Não há relato de complicações durante ou após o parto associadas ao uso de acupuntura, no entanto é transversal a todos os autores estudados a recomendação de utilizar a acupuntura com cuidado, estimulações suaves e seleção do menor número de pontos de acordo com a queixa e o diagnóstico de Medicina Tradicional Chinesa, é também aconselhado que só se puncturem os pontos que induzem o parto se estritamente necessário. Na maioria dos estudos é também notado que a acupuntura é mais eficaz se for feita todos os dias uma a duas vezes com retenção das agulhas por um período de 25 a 30 minutos.
Abstract
This literature review has as theme the use of acupuncture during pregnancy, with the aim of revealing acupuncture points that are forbidden and protocols that can be used in the treatment of the nausea.
The methodology has to do with gathering several articles and studies of the “Journal of Chinese Medicine” about this them.
Through this study we can find out that there’s several literature to back up the use of acupuncture during pregnancy (no matter which month of pregnancy), and all the literature found says that acupuncture can be very helpful treating nauseas, among other symptons. Also there are no reports of complications during or after labor associated with the use of acupuncture, though it is recommended in all articles that acupuncture must be used with care, soft or none stimulations, and selection of minimum points each time, and in accordance to Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis, it is also recommended not to use the points that induce labor unless it is really necessary. It is also common to all the studies that the sessions should be done frequently so the pregnant woman can benefit more. The needles retention should be done for a period of 25 to 30 minutes.Downloads
