The present article has as theme the informal occupations and their disordered constructions in Mozambique, a study of the 7 de Abril neighbourhood in the city of Manica. It is inserted in the line of research, whose fundamental basis is land use planning, an environmentally healthy urban attitude. This article aims to contribute to procedures that can minimize the rate of disorderly construction in Bairro 7 de Abril in Manica City. The environmental impacts generated by the irregular occupation of the area are one of the aggressions to the environment, especially to society, resulting from a disordered public policy and human ambition. The methodology used was the bibliographical research of various documents such as articles, books, dissertations, theses and that deal with contents related to the theme. It was also used the interview to the residents of the neighbourhood to understand better about the disorderly constructions in that neighbourhood in which there is a higher volume in relation to the other neighbourhoods of the same City. The author suggests that the municipal council should create inspection teams in the outskirts of the City to deactivate anyone who is asked to build without the authorisation of the municipal council and without a DUAT. It is also suggested that the municipal council should be quick in delivering or assigning DUATs as well as mobilizing and raising awareness about the consequences caused by disordered construction.
