Abstract

Malignant external otitis (MEO) is an infection of the soft tissues of the external auditory canal that can be complicated by osteomyelitis of the skull. Body scintigraphy with [67Ga] gallium citrate can be used in the evaluation of this disease.
The authors describe a clinical case of MEO evaluation performed with body scintigraphy with [67Ga] gallium citrate with imaging findings of a neoformative lesion in the ascending colon.
