Intereses particulares en el Galeón de Manila: inventario de los bienes del gobernador de Filipinas D. Diego de Salcedo (1663–1668)

The Philippines under New Spain protection, attracted many prominent figures with a significant role in the public administration, Church organizations or consulate traders. This is the case of D. Diego de Salcedo, governor and captain general of the archipelago from 1663 to 1668, which, after a controversial government, was accused of heresy by the Tribunal of the Inquisition of Philippines. The aim of this paper is to analize the relevance of Manila as a commercial capital of China Galleon and to study the particular interests of the one who was governor of the islands, through the analysis of his possessions, assessed and seized after inquisitorial process.
