Fontes e metodologia para o estudo das elites locais em Portugal no século XX

Abstract

Academic studies on local elites are of recent vintage and require rigorous theoretical support and methodology. The choice and handling of sources have greatly contributed to opening up new lines of inquiry which have been faithfully followed by a new generation of social scientists. This article sets out the methodology and main sources to be used, with practical examples, such as oral memory and even literature, in addition to institutional sources, both local and national, and the standard bibliographies.
