A research project carried out in a company undergoing a process of change enabled the author to validate the group value model put forward by Tyler and others in order to explain the dynamics of procedural justice. Feelings of pride and respect for the group felt by the individuals who belong to it constituted mediating variables between judgements of justice in relation to authority and support for change. The impact of social and demographic variables was insignificant.
