New university articulations - post-graduation, research and the massification of higher education

Abstract

The rapid modernisation of Portuguese society has raised a series of questions for everyone involved in planning higher education. New university articulations have arisen. Other changes are on the way. In this short paper the way in which the massification of higher education is making us re-think the relationship between university and research is explored.
