The liberal archipelago: outlines of a concept of liberalism

This text argues that a free society marked by liberalism is not a stable social unit created or maintained by a shared doctrine. It is rather a collection of communities linked on the basis of laws that recognize the individual´s freedom to associate as they wish and with whom they wish.
