Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present the factorial correspondence analysis as a method for processing the results of surveys, allowing to take into account the global information collected by questionnaires. The method includes a particular recoding of variables, which ensures the statistical coherence of outputs, regardless the form of the questions, and a set of interpretation rules for the graphics provided. The advantages of this type ofprocessing versus the classical two-way tables calculation are illustrated by application examples in the social sciences area.
