Abstract

The author presents her perspective on the close relationship between Anesthesiology and Simulation, invoking from a
historical perspective the leading role of Anesthesiology in patient safety and in changing the paradigm of teaching and
training in Anesthesiology and medicine. It also presents a brief description of the pedagogical approach that simulation allows.
