Teenage pregnancy is a problem present in Cape Verdean society, and its prevalence is a matter of concern for the country. The nature of adolescent pregnancy is a multifaceted challenge, in addition to the complexities that fall on adolescent health. The impact of this phenomenon has strong repercussions on their education, worsening in economically disadvantaged and socially vulnerable circumstances. The current understanding of the issue in the Cape Verdean context lacks an approach that establishes an intersection between adolescent pregnancy and the country’s education system. It is relevant to carry
out a study that includes the existing measures to support students and combat school dropout.
