José Manuel Sérvulo Correia

Emeritus Professor, Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon

José Manuel Sérvulo Correia is Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and President of the Scientific Board of the Lisbon Public Law Research Centre. He holds a PhD and a Full Professorship in Public Law from the University of Lisbon and an honorary doctorate in Law from the University of Athens.

He served as ad hoc Judge at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (Hamburg) from 2011 to 2014 and was a member of the committee responsible for the revision of the Administrative Procedure Code and the Code of Procedure of the Administrative Courts.

Ana Rita Gil
Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon

Ana Rita holds a law degree from the University of Coimbra and a PhD in Public Law from NOVA Law School, where she defended a thesis on the protection of immigrants' fundamental rights. She is currently a professor at the University of Lisbon Law School and a Full-Time Researcher at the Lisbon Public Law Research Centre.

She works as an independent researcher and consultant on studies for the European Union, the United Nations, and academic networks. Previously, she was an advisor to the Office of the Judges of the Portuguese Constitutional Court for seven years and an assistant to the Portuguese Provost of Justice for three years. Her areas of research are Human Rights, Public International Law, Immigration, and Nationality.


DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Sara Moreira de Azevedo
Guest Lecturer at Lisbon University – Law School

Sara Moreira de Azevedo holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. She is an Assistant Integrated Researcher at Lisbon Public Law Research Centre, where her research interests include Legal Theory, Fundamental Rights, Constitutional Law and Administrative Law.

She is a Guest Assistant at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and Deputy Executive Director of Revista e-Publica. Alongside her academic activity, she has practised as a lawyer and, between 2017 and 2019, served as Deputy to the Office of the Minister for the Presidency and Administrative Modernisation. She is also a member of the LxLTG – Lisbon Legal Theory Group.

She holds a degree in Translation and a Master’s in Text Editing and Publishing, with extensive experience in translation, proofreading and localization. Her professional background includes a broad range of editorial and administrative skills, as well as experience coordinating translation projects and managing technical documentation.
