Abstract

This article deals with public waste policy in Portugal. Accordingly, the objectives of a public waste policy are to be redefined to minimize the effects of waste on human health and on the environment, which is associated with the preservation of natural resources. Objectives that have been inserted, more modernly, into the super-concept of circular economy.
