Abstract

The present article reflects on the figure of the Public Prosecution Service in current Portuguese administrative litigation, given the latest reform of 2015 in this area of law. It aims to study the several functions of the Public Prosecution Service in the administrative scope. It also seeks a comparative analysis between some versions of the 11º article of the Code of the Administrative Courts Procedure, in order to demonstrate the relevance of this figure in State representation. Finally, it reflects on the importance of the Public Prosecution Service role at the present time.
