At a time when European citizens are increasingly questioning the adequacy of the response and effectiveness of European asylum policy, from the dual perspective of demanding a response to situations of special vulnerability, which are not covered by human rights protection schemes but, at the same time, which don’t create situations of privilege for certain groups, burdening European states excessively and beyond what is possible, our aim will be to review the regime provided for by the exclusion provisions included in the Qualification Directive in the light of the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights.
