The research aims to establish a comparative study on the figure of the President of the Republic on both forms of power: parliamentary and presidential. To do so, we start by characterizing and distinguishing each form of power, so we can late approach a practical case of both Portugal and Brazil in which the President of the Republic stands out and thus establish a dialogue between the realities of each country.
