Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, DOI for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The authors have a registration on the ORCID platform (https://orcid.org) before submitting the manuscript for evaluation.
  • At the time of submission, authors fill in all the required metadata, with particular attention to the full authorship of the manuscript, since the inclusion or exclusion of co-authors after submission is not permitted.
  • The author is aware that it is not permitted to submit a new article of his/her authorship (or in co-authorship) for evaluation while he/she has another active submission.
  • Submitted manuscripts should, whenever applicable, be accompanied by an opinion from an ethics entity or committee.
  • If applicable, the authors ensure that informed consent and authorization for the publication of images or any other information that identifies the participants in the study were obtained. However, real names or clear images of participants' faces cannot be used.
  • If applicable, the authors make it clear that permission was obtained to use copyrighted material.
  • The authors declare that they have not used AI systems to create the text, informing the management (in remarks) about the nature and type of use carried out (for example, language review of the text, translation of excerpts, listing references, among others), while maintaining the integrity of authorship and the research process.
